My name is Carlos Martínez-Sebastián. I’m a madrilenian astrophysicist currently doing my Ph.D. at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, where I work in the IACOB project. My main research interest is the evolution of massive stars during their early phases, with a particular focus on the effects of binary interaction. I use quantitative spectroscopy to reconstruct the history of individual systems.
This website is my online home. Through its different pages, you can learn more about me and my work. Most of the content is in English, but «blog» and «outreach» sections are mostly in Spanish, as I consider participating in cultural creation in my native language part of my responsibilities as a scientist.
